Her Story: Discovering Women’s History in Malta

The conference was organized by Prof. Yosanne Vella, University of Malta, who invited academics and historians to share their recent work on women in Maltese history covering the Modern Era, Victorian Era and Contemporary Era. Caroline Tonna presented her research, titled: Female Entrepreneurs in Dressmaking and Millinery in the 19th Century. The proceeds of the conference were published in a book, Discovering, Women’s History in Malta, edited by Yosanne Vella, Malta University Press, 2024.
